Play Cops ‘n’ Robbers: Vegas Vacation Slot Machine For Free

Do you fancy a trip to Vegas? After all, there’s no better way to spend any of your illicitly earned cash than to gamble it all away in the place that welcomes your cash and lines its pockets with it. It certainly seems the robbers have this idea, as now the hard-working police force is on their tails, chasing them across the famed Vegas strip. Cops ‘n’ Robbers: Vegas Vacation is a Novomatic produced video slot that will appease many a feature chaser.

Just during normal gameplay alone there are four bonuses that can fire randomly, and four more features that you can activate after collecting three Scatters. The game uses generic playing card symbols like 10, J, Q, K and A, as well as a 15 interstate road sign, a pair of dice, as well as the slot’s logo. Bert’s Wild is relatively easy to spot and acts as a Wild, while the Scatter is a question mark.

Developer

Novomatic itself was founded in 1980, mostly focused on land based gaming machines, as well as being a major distributor for Austria. From then, the company has expanded to incorporate over 30,000 employees world wide, 2.5 billion euros worth of revenue in 2017, with physical machines that can be found in casinos all over Europe, Asia and the Americas.

And yet, it wasn’t until 2011 when Novomatic acquired Greentube Internet Entertainment Solutions that they really began to push for an online presence.

How to Play it

The game is played on a 5×3 playing field with 20 fixed paylines normally, with a chance to expand to 40 during one of the features. You can wager between $0.20 up to $40 per spin, which is a nice spread that should please most gamblers. The game has an autospin feature, which isn’t that extensive – pressing the button simply starts spinning the reels, and continues to do so until you press it again, or run out of cash to play with.

We’re not going to pretend the graphics on offer are mindblowing, but we did quite like the backdrop of the famous Vegas strip sitting in the background. Another thing we liked were the interactions between the criminal and the cop, which always bring a laugh when you watch them dance around each other during the bonuses.

Special Features

During normal gameplay, one of four bonuses can be activated at any given point randomly. Dynamite Wins – Bert can toss a dynamite on the reels on a non-winning spin, uncovering a win or a Scatter. Bert’s Going Wild – The criminal adds one or more Wilds on the reels. Reel Raider – Bert can swing in and add copies of the first reel onto other reels on the playing field.

Bert’s Wild Giveaway – The criminal adds extra Wilds on the fifth reel, and then sends them moving to the left by one reel each spin. They keep on coming until the police officer chases Bert off. The Wilds will complete their journey to reel one before the feature ends.

On top of that, you also have four different bonuses, activated by collecting three Scatters. The first two Scatters are question marks, but the third one can be one of four symbols, and depending on which icon it is, a different bonus is triggered.

Find Bonzo – if the third Scatter is that of a dog Bonzo, the dog will start digging through the reels, uncovering stake multipliers. The feature ends when Bonzo finds a fish bone.

Spotlight Wilds – if the third Scatter is a searchlight, you receive five free spins with one or more Wilds added to the playing field on each free spin. It is possible to activate other bonuses while this one is active.

On The Run – if the third Scatter is the Bert & Bell symbol, then a board game is played during which Bert rolls his dice while the officer tries to catch him. If he catches up with Bert, a game of chance is played to see if the officer recognises the criminal in a line-up. If Bert manages to escape, get a cash prize, but if he does, the feature ends there.

Daylight Robberies – if the third Scatter is a Daylight Robberies symbol, you are rewarded with unlimited free spins and the number of paylines doubles to forty. Bonzo the dog turns into a Wild symbol, which bounces from reel to reel with each free spin, with four bouncing Wilds and a 2x multiplier applied when part of a win. More bouncing Wilds are added each time you pull off a successful robbery, and if you rob the casino successfully, you win 1000x your stake.

Maximum Payouts

Clearly, the Daylight Robbers feature is the most lucrative one – with unlimited free spins, double paylines and a 1000x jackpot awaiting you if you complete it. We weren’t able to find how volatile this title is. It’s RTP is 95.07%, which is average for video slots.

Summary

This review dragged on long enough, but we didn’t want to miss out on any detail. It does ultimately boil down to having patience to see all of these special features, and hoping they bring you the lucrative wins you deserve.
